Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on basic care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent injury
- Support bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting needs while preserving dignity
- Document care accurately and clearly in the patient record
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other care team members to deliver excellent patient experiences
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (CNA) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of direct patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Infection prevention principles and proper PPE use
- Clear documentation and effective communication with the care team
- Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced clinical setting
