Location: North Cape May, NJ

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/swing — classified as day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, keeping falls prevention front and center
Take and record vital signs accurately and alert the nursing team to changes
Support feeding and nutrition needs, documenting intake as required
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication
Document care clearly and promptly in the facility charting system

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and working with diverse patient needs
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and care plans
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
Strong observation and reporting skills to communicate changes in resident condition
Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
