Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility needs while following proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members
• Help create a warm, dignified environment that promotes resident comfort and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New Jersey (required)
• Comfort working a day shift schedule with every-other-weekend (E/O) rotation
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong direct patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Basic vital sign measurement and resident observation skills
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and clinical teams
• Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize resident safety
