Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening/Night (days vary)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Support safe and comfortable care by following established care plans and procedures
Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Assist with mobility, transfers, feeding, and toileting while promoting dignity
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (must be active and in good standing; PA certification preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility needs
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Compassionate, dependable, and a team player

Education

Completion of an approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skill in resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and assisting residents
