Shift Type: Per diem, Days vary (per diem), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $13 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lifts when required
Monitor and report changes in residents conditions to the nursing team promptly
Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
Help create a comfortable, dignified environment that respects resident preferences
Follow infection control policies, facility protocols, and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Active authorization to practice as a CNA in Alabama or ability to obtain state certification
High school diploma or GED preferred
Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
Willingness to comply with facility screening, background checks, and immunization requirements
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Safe transfer and mobility techniques
Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
Accurate charting and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
Infection prevention and adherence to facility policies
