Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and promotes comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs and report clinical changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate documentation in the resident record and follow facility policies
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to implement individualized care plans
• Ensure a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Engage residents with respect and encouragement to promote independence and well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active New Mexico CNA license or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to a per diem schedule
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with resident care and ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Basic knowledge of mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Clear verbal and written communication with residents and team members
• Empathy, patience and strong observational skills
