Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and preventative fall measures for residents
• Communicate clearly with the care team to ensure coordinated patient care
• Document care delivered in a timely and professional manner
• Build rapport with residents and families to promote a positive care environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active state authorization to practice in New Mexico (if applicable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and working in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Successful completion of an approved CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing care techniques and safe patient handling
• Recording vital signs and recognizing common changes in condition
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts
