Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility and safe positioning
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the care team
Support a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for residents
Communicate clearly with residents and families to promote comfort and dignity
Document care accurately and timely in resident records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
Participate in infection control practices and adhere to facility policies

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
Eligible to work in New Mexico and meet facility background and health clearance requirements
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including assisting with transfers

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
Infection prevention and hand hygiene practices
Basic documentation and charting in resident records
Teamwork, time management and effective communication
Awareness of resident rights, dignity and privacy standards
