Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise lead and senior technologists to ensure excellent, patient-centered imaging services
Manage daily staffing and scheduling to meet budgetary and productivity targets
Implement and support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, ACR)
Provide direct patient diagnostic procedures, education, and clinical support when needed
Monitor image quality control and enforce department policies and procedures
Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to resolve issues and improve care
Evaluate departmental performance, make data-informed recommendations for resource allocation, and support service optimization
Support staff development, performance management, and progressive discipline as appropriate

Qualifications

Minimum: Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license
Current CPR certification
Minimum: Five years’ experience as a working diagnostic technologist in an acute-care setting
Minimum: Two years’ supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
Desired: Three to five years prior supervisory/managerial experience
Ability to perform and maintain competencies in clinical diagnostic procedures and imaging technologies

Education

Associate Degree

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, and ACR compliance and survey standards
Strong understanding of radiographic exposure, radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
Proven leadership, communication, problem-solving, and staff development skills
Experience with quality assurance, image quality control, and performance improvement processes
Ability to coordinate with clinical, clerical, and service engineering teams
