Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care at the bedside, supporting comfort and recovery
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Assess and monitor patients, document findings, and report changes to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support discharge planning
• Perform wound care and basic clinical procedures with attention to infection control
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and self-care to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and support smooth shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in Maryland (or appropriate compact/state authorization)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Clinical experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program for LPNs or Nursing diploma/ADN/BSN for RNs
• Higher nursing degree (BSN) is a plus but not required for all roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Team collaboration and clear communication with patients, families, and staff
