Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents and patients during night shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document care clearly and timely in the facility's health records
• Collaborate with nursing team and interdisciplinary staff to create and follow care plans
• Support resident comfort, safety and dignity during evenings and overnight hours

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (LPN candidates may be considered where appropriate)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a team-focused attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet required health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; diploma for LPN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring skills for acute and chronic conditions
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical charting
• Infection control, wound care basics and pressure injury prevention
• Effective communication with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during high-acuity night shifts
