Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents to promote dignity and comfort
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Help with safe transfers and mobility support while encouraging independence
Monitor and record resident conditions and vital signs accurately
Communicate changes in resident status promptly to the nursing team
Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors
Engage residents in social and meaningful activities to improve quality of life
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver person-centered care with respect

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (required)
Previous experience working with older adults is preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of infection control and safe hygiene practices
Basic knowledge of resident mobility and safe transfer techniques
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with charting and following care plans
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
