Location: Brooklyn Park, Maryland

Shift Type: Night shift, schedule varies, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity
Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff and participate in care planning
Support mealtime assistance and hydration to promote resident well-being
Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
Document care and observations clearly in resident charts to ensure continuity

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
State registration or licensure as required for GNAs in Maryland
Comfort working overnight hours and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads welcome
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Education

High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe resident transfers
Accurate vital signs measurement and basic charting skills
Strong communication and teamwork with residents, families, and staff
Knowledge of infection control practices and safe hygiene techniques
