Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at the facility
• Perform timely medication administration and accurate documentation
• Assess patient condition and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Support activities of daily living and promote patient dignity and independence
• Maintain thorough, compliant clinical records and participate in shift handovers
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — Maryland licensure preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Current immunizations and health screenings as required by the facility
• Comfortable working in a long-term care/rehab environment and providing hands-on care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; a positive attitude goes a long way

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN program or equivalent nursing education
• High school diploma or GED required; additional nursing education (ADN/BSN) a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic care planning in a skilled nursing environment
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during a shift
• Familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
