Location: Baltimore, MD

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming and more with dignity and respect
Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team promptly
Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance, prioritizing resident safety
Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s records
Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or state equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable assisting with transfers and personal care for older adults
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
GNA certification (required or as required by state regulations)

Knowledge & Skills

Resident-centered care and empathy for older adults
Basic clinical observation — recognizing and reporting changes in condition
Safe transfer techniques and mobility assistance
Basic charting and documentation skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Good teamwork and communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
