Shift Type: Days: Not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, helping with daily living activities
Assist nursing staff with monitoring residents and reporting changes in condition promptly
Support residents with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning to promote independence
Perform routine tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding with dignity and respect
Document care activities and observations accurately and timely
Create a warm, friendly environment that promotes resident comfort and wellbeing
Collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans and goals

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent required
Valid state-required certifications and licenses as applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Able to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting and handling physical aspects of care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
Ability to follow care plans, charting procedures, and facility protocols
Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
Team-oriented attitude and clear communication with residents, families, and staff
