Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional status and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
• Document progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and mobility strategies
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on measurable outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations and professional standards

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain state licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent clinical degree (see education)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with a diverse adult patient population in an outpatient/contract setting
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and collaborative mindset

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master/Entry-level degree in Physical Therapy (equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment planning for musculoskeletal and functional deficits
• Proficiency with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and patient education
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Good documentation habits and familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize caseload, manage time, and deliver efficient care
