Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor telemetry patients with vigilance, using clinical judgment to detect changes quickly
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following oncology and telemetry protocols
• Document patient care thoroughly in the EMR (Meditech) to ensure continuity and clear communication
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge needs in a compassionate way
• Advocate for patient safety and quality of care while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
• Support unit flow and assist peers during admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as listed in the posting)
• Experience in telemetry nursing required
• Oncology experience (specialty noted) highly relevant for this role
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfort working in a unit with a 1:5 patient ratio and tele monitoring equipment
• Positive, team-oriented attitude — aligns with unit fit

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and rhythm recognition
• Oncology patient care knowledge and comfort with oncology-related treatments
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with tele equipment and remote patient monitoring
• Ability to manage prioritization in a 1:5 patient ratio environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
