Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on your unit
- Assess patient status, identify changes, and take timely action
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Coordinate with the care team to develop and execute patient plans
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to families and providers
- Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate clinical records
- Support transitions of care, discharge planning, and patient education
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred where applicable
- Prior experience in medical/surgical or hospital acute care preferred (1+ year ideal)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and medication administration skills
- IV therapy and wound care experience
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
