Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during scheduled day shifts
- Perform accurate assessments and communicate changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
- Document care clearly and thoroughly in the chart/EHR to support continuity
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create meaningful care plans
- Support patient education and family communication with clarity and empathy
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in Maryland (compact license accepted where applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Prior experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or related setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, reliable time management, and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduation from an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ADN, or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation
- Wound care and basic clinical procedures
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) charting
- Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Ability to follow policies, protocols, and infection control practices
