Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse - Night Shift
Location: Waldorf, MD
Start Date: 11-15-2025
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Night shifts
Hours per Week: Varies (per-diem); typical shift ~8 hours

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during night shift hours
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform timely assessments, monitor patient status, and report changes
- Maintain clear, concise documentation in the patient record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes
- Support admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed during shift
- Ensure a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in Maryland (must be active)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
Education
- LPN: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and IV/line awareness
- Charting in electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Time management and prioritization in a busy night shift environment
- Comfortable working independently and escalating concerns appropriately
