Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med/surg patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate way
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition to ensure positive outcomes
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and participating in improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact RN license eligible
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Current basic IV and medication administration experience
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background checks, and health screenings

Education

• BSN preferred; ADN accepted with relevant experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med/surg nursing principles and standards
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (Epic experience is a plus)
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care, and IV therapy
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Time management, prioritization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
