Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensuring smooth patient flow
• Serve as the liaison between surgeons' offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
• Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-ons with calm and efficiency
• Optimize block utilization and daily room assignments in partnership with clinical leadership
• Maintain accurate scheduling data in the ASC scheduling system and ensure timely communication
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements
• Provide excellent customer service as the front-facing representative of the ASC
• Support administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the Business Office Manager/Administrator

Qualifications

• Experience with surgical or outpatient scheduling and electronic scheduling systems
• Familiarity with ASC policies, block utilization concepts, and patient flow management
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing teams
• Knowledge of regulatory and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA and CMS
• Customer-service oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Willingness to work occasional overtime based on surgical volume
