Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and monitor overnight polysomnography studies with accuracy and compassion
• Set up, calibrate and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment to ensure high-quality recordings
• Continuously monitor patient safety and physiological parameters throughout the night
• Document study data and patient observations clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support diagnosis and care
• Provide patient education and reassurance before, during and after the study
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized sleep lab environment and adhere to infection control practices

Qualifications

• Certified Sleep Lab Technologist or Licensed Sleep Lab Technologist — required
• Comfortable working a 3 x 12-hour night schedule and able to cover consecutive Saturdays as needed
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to respond calmly in overnight situations
• Familiarity with polysomnography equipment and sleep study workflows
• Professional communication skills for interacting with patients and clinical teams
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred (if applicable by client policy)

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited sleep technology program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of polysomnography procedures and scoring basics
• Ability to operate, calibrate and troubleshoot sleep lab monitoring equipment
• Skill in patient monitoring, physiological signal recognition, and infection control
• Clear documentation and charting skills
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to provide patient-centered care overnight
