Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality general respiratory care across acute care settings including pre- and post-operative areas and the emergency department
• Respond promptly and effectively to rapid response and code blue situations
• Manage ventilators and perform ventilator checks to ensure safe respiratory support
• Administer nebulizer treatments and other respiratory therapies competently and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop treatment recommendations
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately in MEDITECH
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, therapies, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapy license eligible for submission (License to submit is required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA); NRP preferred
• Valid driver's license at time of submittal (used to verify radius rule)
• Ability to work independently across all age groups and provide solid patient assessment and treatment recommendations
• Willingness to comply with facility policies including fingernail/artificial nail restrictions and background checks

• Code blue and rapid response experience and emergency response readiness

• Strong critical thinking, independent decision making, and effective communication
