Shift Type: Variable shifts (day/night), 36 hours per week, various days, must be flexible

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to transitional care patients
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage wound care
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on discharge planning and home care
Operate and manage equipment such as wound vacs, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

Active Hawaii RN license or willingness to obtain upon acceptance of offer
Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surg or transitional care
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
ACLS certification preferred or able to obtain
Experience with Meditech EMR and Pyxis systems
Strong skills in wound vac, chest tube, and trach care

Knowledge & Skills

Meditech EMR proficiency
Pyxis medication management system
Wound vac and chest tube management
Tube feeding, NG/G-tube, and trach care
PICC and PORT access and maintenance
BLS and ACLS certifications
Patient education and discharge planning
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
