Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based oncology nursing care to adult outpatients, ensuring safe, patient-centered treatment
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to streamline visits and improve patient outcomes
• Perform thorough assessments, triage symptoms, and implement appropriate interventions or escalate when needed
• Document patient encounters and treatments accurately and timely in the medical record
• Administer therapies and supportive treatments following protocol and safety guidelines
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, side effect management, and self-care
• Float to the Marina Del Rey clinic as scheduled, maintaining consistent standards of care across sites
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• ONS certification required
• Current CPR certification required
• 2-3 years of outpatient oncology nursing experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to float to Marina Del Rey once to twice every other week
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of oncology nursing principles and ONS standards
• Skilled in patient education, symptom assessment, and side-effect management
• Familiarity with outpatient infusion and clinic workflows
• Competence in safe medication administration and infection control
• Good clinical documentation practices and teamwork in fast-paced clinics
• Comfortable working within established protocols and escalating concerns appropriately
