Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to pulmonary clinic patients following established standards and best practices
• Perform patient assessments, triage concerns, and document findings clearly and accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic and treatment procedures
• Deliver patient education and engage families and caregivers in care plans
• Respond calmly and effectively during emergency situations and initiate appropriate actions
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and follow-up
• Maintain accurate medical records, apply ICD-10/CPT coding basics, and adhere to office procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) — current and renewed every two years
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow physician orders and clinic protocols
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed and perform physical demands of clinic nursing

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Nursing care and patient-centered assessment skills
• Medication administration and monitoring
• Emergency response and calm, decisive action under pressure
• Patient education and effective communication
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding fundamentals
• Medical terminology and office procedures
• Examination and treatment procedures and use of clinic equipment
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions and safe patient handling
