Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), primarily weekdays with some weekends; every-other-weekend rotation (approximately 3-4 weekend days per month)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Start and manage IVs and peripheral/PICC lines safely and efficiently
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to ensure safe outcomes
• Continuously monitor vitals and cardiac telemetry, interpreting dysrhythmias when needed
• Respond on Rapid Response and Code teams to stabilize patients in emergencies
• Provide patient and family education about treatments and self-care plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Chart accurately and timely in EPIC to maintain clear clinical documentation
• Float to lower-acuity units as needed to support patient flow and team needs

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification required; IV certification required
• EPIC experience preferred but not mandatory
• Strong communication, critical thinking and multitasking skills
• Travel nursing experience is a plus
• Flu vaccination required per facility guideline (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Rapid Response/Code team participation and emergency response
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC line management and peripheral line care
• Chest tube management and respiratory support including oxygen delivery
• Patient monitoring, assessment and early recognition of clinical change
• Isolation precautions and appropriate use of PPE
• Proficient charting in EPIC EMR
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and multitasking abilities
