Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients promptly and comprehensively to identify needs and risks
• Develop individualized plans of care that set clear, achievable outcomes
• Implement nursing interventions and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and promote health
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR
• Respond effectively in pre-hospital settings including ski patrol, search & rescue, and EMS events
• Promote a safe environment and apply infection control and safety practices
• Evaluate nursing practice and participate in continuous quality improvement activities
• Serve as a collaborative partner with colleagues to improve patient care and workflows
• Stay current with required education, certifications, and professional standards

Qualifications

• Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license — required
• American Heart Association BLS certification — required
• Experience in pre-hospital care such as Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, or EMS — required
• Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or other acute care clinical experience — preferred
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic computer proficiency — preferred
• Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, nights, and participate in on-call rotation
• Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and ability to perform under pressure
• Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, climb, and perform frequent fine-finger tasks as needed
