Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage arterial lines
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes for cardiac, vascular, stroke, sepsis, and post-procedure patients
Support patient experience initiatives by focusing on communication, responsiveness, and education about medications
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Embrace cultural diversity while caring for primarily Hispanic and Somalian patient populations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines and titrating drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes if called in from on-call status
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration and hemodynamic management
Arterial line care and monitoring
High-flow oxygen therapy troubleshooting
Patient education and experience-focused communication
Flexibility to float across units and adapt to changing patient needs
