Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care across Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rates while supporting laboring patients through every stage
• Administer and titrate critical medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drips
• Assist with C-Sections, recover patients post-delivery, and provide expert newborn resuscitation when needed
• Float to other departments as census requires while maintaining exceptional patient care standards

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license upon acceptance
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery plus couplet care experience
• Skilled in starting adult and neonatal IVs, performing Accu checks, and PKU testing on newborns

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in high-risk OB conditions including PIH, placenta previa, VBAC, and GDM
• Proficient with fetal monitoring equipment, IUPC, ISE, and amnioinfusion procedures
• Competent in newborn care including phototherapy, special care nursery, and circumcision assistance
• Strong assessment skills for NST and observation patients
