Registered Nurse - PCU Float
Location: Silverdale, Washington

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage high-acuity PCU patients including those with CVA, STEMI, CHF, and respiratory distress
- Administer critical drips like nitroglycerin, heparin, and amiodarone with precision
- Read tele strips alongside remote tech support to ensure patient safety
- Float to nearby floors to care for PCU patients and support the team
- Collaborate with 24/7 hospitalists, intensivists, IV team, and RT for seamless care
- Deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced unit with high turnover and welcoming team
Qualifications
- Active WA or Compact RN License
- 2+ years of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EPIC charting proficiency
- Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus
Education
- BSN preferred but not required
- RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in cardiac drips, tele monitoring, and acute conditions like ACS, PE/DVT, and DKA
- Strong assessment skills for chest pain, renal failure, and pre/post cardiac procedures
- Floating flexibility across PCU floors
- Team player in a busy, cohesive unit environment
