Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients across ICU, PCU, and medical-surgical levels in a combined acuity unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, EKG strips, and 12-lead EKGs, responding to changes in patient condition
• Titrate and manage critical drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin infusions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other units such as pediatric or west campus ICU/PCU to maintain competency and support the team
• Participate in holiday rotation and assist with low-census standby as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state) - let us help you get started
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (we can help you renew!)
• At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg in a larger facility
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation - must pass an exam with 80% within two attempts
• Experience with titrating vasoactive drips and managing ventilated patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Proficiency with respiratory equipment: ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP
• Knowledge of common diagnoses: sepsis, DKA, COPD, withdrawal, post-op complications
• Ability to manage sedation, vasopressors, and insulin drips safely
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for floating and collaborating across units
