Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care across MedSurg and ER settings, floating as needed to support patients from swing bed rehab to critical trauma cases
• Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining continuity of care and following EMTALA regulations
• Titrate medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision and attention to patient response
• Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and perform EKGs as part of comprehensive patient assessment
• Respond swiftly to codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis events, as well as trauma activations
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently using Mindray monitors and document findings accurately
• Collaborate closely with hospitalists and the care team in a minimal-staffing environment that values independent decision-making

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
• MedSurg experience is a plus
• Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support

Knowledge & Skills

• Titration of critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
• IV starts, PICC/port management, and EKG performance
• Code and trauma response protocols
• Meditech EMR documentation
• Independent decision-making in low-resource settings
• EMTALA compliance and flight transport coordination
