Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to neuro patients including stroke, TBI, and spinal surgery cases
- Titrate critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin to keep patients stable
- Interpret EKGs and respond quickly to cardiac changes using your telemetry skills
- Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and strong support team to deliver excellent outcomes
- Float to sister tele units when needed, expanding your skill set across the hospital
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner while delivering bedside handoff reports
Qualifications
- Active RN license and 2 years of recent experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- Neuro experience is highly preferred
- Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
- Level 1 trauma experience is required
- Ability to complete SIMs Lab skills on day one of orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Confident with titrating cardiac and insulin drips
- Comfortable caring for trached patients and managing vents (though vents not on this unit)
- Cerner EMR experience with WOW workstations
- Solid sterile technique for Foley and central line procedures
