Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Manage complex cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patients with confidence
Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond quickly to patient changes
Collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team to improve patient experience scores
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining excellent care standards
Build meaningful connections with a diverse patient population including Hispanic and Somalian communities

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency with arterial lines and titratable drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Willingness to work every other weekend and at least two holidays during the contract

Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
High-flow oxygen therapy support
Patient education and medication communication
Team collaboration and adaptability
