Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care across all surgical service lines including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general surgery, and DaVinci robotics
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric patients
• Float to pre/post op, PACU, or ER trauma cases as needed to support patient care
• Maintain flexibility with varied daily schedules while upholding the highest safety standards
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong experience in multiple surgical specialties including neurosurgery
• Comfortable working across all service lines without specialized teams
• Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Driver's license required at time of submittal to verify 50-mile radius compliance
• No current full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience with DaVinci robotic procedures
• Knowledge of neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, and general surgery cases
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing surgical schedules
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to educate and support colleagues
