Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights), includes weekends and holidays as per unit schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum support
Assist with deliveries, perform newborn resuscitation with NRP certification, and stabilize newborns in the NICU
Monitor fetal heart rates using AWHONN guidelines and titrate medications like pitocin and insulin as needed
Collaborate with OB and anesthesia teams to ensure safe outcomes for mothers and babies
Float to other Sacramento facilities when required, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact state if applicable)
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience required; 3 years preferred
Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced EFM certifications
Comfortable with OR circulating experience (will consider L&D only with OR skills)
Ability to respond within 30 minutes when on call or standby

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring systems (Fetalink) and interpreting EFM tracings
Skilled in titrating intravenous medications including pitocin and insulin
Knowledgeable in maternal and neonatal assessment, including NRP at delivery
Experience with mother-baby couplet care and postpartum overflow management
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced LDRP setting
