Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (days) or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and delivery patients
Circulate in the OR during cesarean sections
Perform thorough newborn assessments and routine baby care
Float to postpartum unit as needed to care for mothers and infants
Titrate medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate as ordered
Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of physicians, residents, and CRNAs

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
At least 2 years of recent L&D experience with OR circulating skills
Experience with high-risk OB and routine obstetric care

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) using Obix system
Skill in managing titratable drips including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
Competency in newborn assessment and newborn care
