Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends (Friday-Saturday), 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care in a Family Birthing Center, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP)
Circulate in the OR for Cesarean sections and assist with deliveries
Monitor fetal heart rates using Fetalink system and interpret EFM patterns
Titrate pitocin and occasionally insulin drips as ordered
Attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation as needed (NRP certified)
Collaborate with OB providers, neonatologists, and anesthesia on-call team
Float to other Sacramento facilities as required

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent LDRP experience (3+ years preferred)
Must have OR circulating experience in Labor & Delivery
ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
AWHONN Advanced EFM certification required
Must be comfortable catching babies and managing deliveries independently
Ability to titrate drips (pitocin, insulin) effectively

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in LDRP, labor and delivery, and mother/baby care
Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpretation of EFM strips
Proficient in OR circulating for C-sections
Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
Comfortable with titrating pitocin and insulin drips
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity unit
