Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients from admission through delivery and postpartum
• Circulate during cesarean sections ensuring a safe surgical environment
• Assist with newborn transition and recovery, including catching and stabilizing the baby
• Titrate medications such as Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin to manage labor and high-risk conditions
• Collaborate with OB/GYN, anesthesiologists, and NNPs in a team-oriented birthing center
• Function independently in LDRP, attending low-risk deliveries and supporting couplet care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State (or compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required (1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in c-sections

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery nursing including high-risk conditions such as preeclampsia and diabetes
• Fetal monitoring interpretation with Centricity-perinatal system
• Circulating in OR for cesarean sections
• Neonatal resuscitation and newborn transition
• Titration of intravenous drips (Magnesium, Pitocin, Insulin)
• Postpartum and mother-baby care
