Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients in a fast-paced birthing center
• Independently attend deliveries and assist with low-risk vaginal births
• Circulate during cesarean sections and assist with newborn transition
• Titrate critical drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin
• Function seamlessly in both Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby/Postpartum settings
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and NNPs available 24/7
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and interpret strips using Centricity-perinatal system
• Provide patient education and support to families during the birth experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience (no first-time travelers)
• Active RN license in Washington or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) preferred
• Experience with LDRP, attending deliveries, and circulating c-sections
• Comfortable catching babies and transitioning newborns
• EPIC documentation experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-risk obstetrics
• Proficiency in titrating Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin drips
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to unit workflows, policies, and feedback
• Knowledge of postpartum and mother-baby care
