Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to support birthing preferences
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, administer medications, and assist with cesarean births
• Educate families on newborn care and breastfeeding
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment for patients and their families
• Respond quickly to emergencies and stabilize patients as needed

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of current Labor and Delivery experience
• Postpartum/Mother Baby experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Active STABLE certification (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Perm address must be included with profile
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring and emergency procedures
• Comfortable with on-call and holiday rotations
