Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, every other weekend and holiday requirement

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
Monitor and titrate IV medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care
Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes
Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for mothers and babies

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Valid driver's license for credentialing
Ability to pass a medication exam during orientation
Commitment to providing top-notch care in a Blue Distinction+ unit

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor and delivery nursing, including fetal monitoring
Proficiency in titrating IV medications and managing complex obstetrical patients
Strong patient education and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines and patient safety standards
