Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in interventional radiology procedures including chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tube placements, IVC filter insertions, and vascular access
• Assist with neuro endovascular cases and stroke treatments in a Level I Trauma center
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry and ventilators during and after procedures
• Perform CT-guided biopsies, ablations, and ultrasound-guided procedures
• Take charge nurse role as needed, coordinating patient flow and team assignments
• Collaborate with IR techs, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and ultrasound techs for seamless care
• Maintain strict sterile field during procedures to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience or ICU with IR experience
• Neuro IR experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
• Ability to pass SIMs lab on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Comfortable working with Cerner EMR

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in interventional radiology nursing and neuro IR
• Proficiency in sterile technique and maintaining sterile field
• Strong understanding of critical care and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with vascular access devices and PICC lines
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records
• Ability to work in a fast-paced trauma environment
