Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, expert critical care to adult ICU patients with attention to safety and outcomes
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic and ventilatory data to inform treatment decisions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy — to execute care plans
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and implement evidence-based interventions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Mentor and support peers and assist in unit workflow while maintaining patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure as required for assignment)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required by some facilities
• Demonstrated competency with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to pass facility orientation and meet credentialing requirements for travel assignments

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred by some facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment skills and clinical judgment
• Experience with ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and titratable drips
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure during emergent situations
