Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems with centralized telemetry
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based patient care
• Float to various inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide needs
• Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse
• Manage advanced equipment and procedures including vents, CVPs, A-lines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license and current driver's license required at submittal
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
• Ability to pass a pass/fail skills exam (open book, 90% required) during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and drip titration expertise
• Experience with neuro surgery, CRRT, Impella, balloon pump, and ICP monitoring preferred but not required
• Strong critical thinking and positive attitude
• Willingness to ask questions and collaborate in a team environment
• Comfort working with attendings, fellows, and residents
