Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems with centralized telemetry
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based care
• Float to various inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide needs
• Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse
• Manage advanced equipment and procedures including vents, CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal
• Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
• Willingness to adhere to strict fingernail policy (no artificial nails)
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities and not be currently employed by them

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
• Experience with neuro, cardiac, and multi-system organ failure patients
• Comfort with advanced monitoring and life-support equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a teaching hospital environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to support teammates and learners
