Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed
Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with tele-tech oversight
Float to PCU or MedSurg when needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in open-book skills exam during orientation to ensure competency

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for complex patients
Ability to titrate drips and interpret cardiac rhythms
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
